It is best not to use banana oil for daily maintenance of the spray gun. Generally, use a solvent that matches the sprayed paint to clean the gun body and the inside and outside of the spray can, and remove the hood and top pin to immerse them in the solvent. Do not immerse the entire spray gun in the solvent, as it will damage the sealing structure.
1. Use a brush to scrub the paint mist on the air cap. When cleaning, pay attention to whether there is any paint residue in the air vent and air cap. Make sure to clean thoroughly, otherwise the residual paint will dry and affect the subsequent use of the spray gun, causing uneven atomization. Only solvent resistant brushes and soft tools such as bamboo toothpicks can be used to clean each auxiliary air hole. Hard tools such as iron wire should be avoided, otherwise it will damage the shape of the auxiliary air hole, affect the airflow of the auxiliary air hole, and cause abnormal paint mist
2. Remove the ejector pin from the solvent and wipe it clean with a cotton cloth before installing it into the gun body. Then, install a cleaned hood and connect it to the air source. Gently pull the trigger and use air pressure to flush out the solvent from the gap. If necessary, apply low viscosity lubricating oil to the sealing part of the ejector pin to prevent wear on the sealing ring.
3. When cleaning the spray gun, another key point is to clean the sealing ring position of the spray can mouth and lid. Be sure to clean it thoroughly, otherwise the residual paint after drying will cause the spray can and gun body to adhere, making it difficult to remove next time. Repeated forced removal will damage the sealing ring of the lid, resulting in paint leakage.
4. The spray gun should also be cleaned regularly, and the ejector pin must be removed before disassembling the nozzle, otherwise it will cause deformation of the ejector pin.
Step a. Remove the top pin; b. Remove the hood; c. Use a specialized wrench to remove the nozzle, clean the debris in each hole of the nozzle, and use compressed air to blow away the solvent. Installation steps start with c, then b, and finally a
5. For spray guns that are rarely used, they must be thoroughly cleaned each time, and lubricating oil must be added to the moving parts of the machinery. Pull the trigger to fully wet the moving parts with the lubricating oil. Before the next use, spray a small amount of solvent for 1-2 seconds before spraying to prevent lubricating oil from contaminating the coating and causing coating defects.
